Author Biography:
Trefor M. Owen was curator of the Welsh Folk Museum (now St Fagans National History Museum) between 1971 and 1987, and a former president of the Society for Folk Life Studies. He was one of the driving forces behind the advancement of the academic study of folk life across the United Kingdom.
