Catrin is a novelist, screenwriter and poet who is politically active and writes in both the Welsh and English language. She won the 2018 Book of the Year Welsh fiction award for her novel Gwales and the Crown at the National Eisteddfod in Cardiff in 2018.
This is a satirical, witty novel about contemporary Wales. Catrin grew up in Gwaelod y Garth, near Cardiff. Her first English language novel, Random Deaths and Custard, was shortlisted for the Spread the Word: Books to Talk About award in 2009 by the World Book Day team.
