Gŵyl Oswallt: Rebecca Roberts

Rebecca Roberts, award winning bilingual author, will feature at Gŵyl Oswallt on 11th April 2026 in Oswestry.

Rebecca has written eleven contemporary novels for adults and young people, and she has adapted some of her Welsh language novels for English readers. Her third novel, #Helynt, won the Tir na n-Og Prize in 2021 and the Children and Young People category at the Wales Book of the Year awards in 2021.

#Helynt is now a set text for the WJEC Welsh Literature GCSE syllabus.

Rebecca's fiction has won many prizes at the National Eisteddfod over the years.

As well as writing, Rebecca is a book reviewer and conducts non-religious ceremonies and creative workshops. She lives in Prestatyn with her husband and children.
