A compilation of songs by Arfon Wyn, one of Wales’ most prolific singer-songwriters – with tracks by Yr Atgyfodiad, Pererin, Arfon Wyn a Chyfeillion, Moniars, Elin Fflur, Sara Mai, Dylan Morris, Eirlys Parri, Linda Griffiths and various other artists.
Following the publication of his music memoirs, and on reaching his 70th year, Sain proudly presents a compilation of some of Arfon’s finest songs, recorded over a period of 50 years. Having started composing at the tender age of 15, his main influence was Welsh contemporary folk singer Meic Stevens. His unique style of performing and composing led Arfon to compose in Welsh, having previously composed in English under the influence of The Beatles. Over the years he has been a member and founding member of many renowned bands, such as Christian rock band Yr Atgyfodiad, prog-folk band Pererin, Hergest and Pry Clustiog. He has also made an invaluable contribution to music in education, having worked extensively with students with learning difficulties at Ysgol Hafod Lon.
One of his most celebrated musical accomplishments is lively and energetic folk rock group Moniars who still entertains audiences the length and breadth of Wales.
This collection celebrates his unique style of composing and his achievement over the years in giving us songs with a strong message, a sense of sympathy with mankind and a strong message of hope.
