Mali has two grandmothers - Mamgu who is Welsh and lives in Cardiff and Mbuya (mBw-ia) from Zimbabwe who lives in London. When Mali asks Mbuya to make her wonderful fruit salad, the three go to to the open air market. However, amidst all the enjoyment of buying all the different fruits, Mali loses something! Will she find it so that they can make the salad?
