Second volume in the series for general readership, explaining the history of the Welsh Marcher lordships and their unique features. This book describes how the lordships evolved after the Norman Conquest of England through to their abolition during the reign of Henry VIII. Richly illustrated with maps, manuscripts, family trees and photographs of castles, abbeys and artefacts.
