A special statue of Betty Campbell was unveiled in Cardiff In 2021; the first black headmistress in Wales. But who was Betty Campbell? What kind of childhood did she have in the lively society of Tiger Bay around Cardiff docks in the 1930s? And what experiences shaped her as a person?
